In which I review Wendy Shalit’s new book, Girls Gone Mild: Young Women Reclaim Self-Respect and Find It’s Not Bad To Be Good, and find it an exercise in alarmism and dubious sociology. Watch out, girls, for cheap sex, bought with cheap clothes and cheaper liquor, at the price of self-respect and the prospect of any serious romance.
