BOOK WARS: Me in the LARB

September 4, 2021

The Los Angeles Review of Books asked me to write about BOOK WARS: THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION IN PUBLISHING, sociologist John B. Thompson’s epic new study of how publishing has evolved over the last 20 years. (TL:DR: The digital era has changed publishing in all kinds of ways, but the print book is doing just fine, thanks.) It’s my first essay for LARB, and I’m so happy to have a byline there. Read the essay here.
