“Librarians Put Increasing Value on Their Role in Support of Student Learning”

A new survey of library directors by the Ithaka group reveals some striking differences in how they and faculty members view the library’s role(s) on campus, and points to a general uncertainty that libraries are measuring and meeting their users’ needs.
