“In Wake of Traumas, Digital Archives Gather Crowds”

Since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, online community archives have become a place to gather and heal as well as to collect historically useful evidence. The latest example is Our Marathon, a crowdsourced database of stories, images, and social-media mementos of the April 15, 2013 bombings at the Boston Marathon. Our Marathon is the creation of a team at Northeastern University’s NULab.
