“Father-Son Rivalry Is for the Birds”

March 9, 2012

A short Q&A with Vernon and Andrew Howe, father-son birders who both teach at La Sierra University. They’ve held the California record for a Big Year–most bird species cited–since 1996. They’re a terrific interview. I’m sad that my conversation with them had to be cut short for space reasons. (The perils of print, I guess.)
